Indeed, it is often said that Western (esp Anglo-Saxon) cultures mostly revolve around guilt, whereas Chinese and other East Asian cultures mostly revolve around shame. In other words, Westerners won't do something wrong because they would feel bad about it inside, whereas East Asians won't do something wrong because it will ruin the reputations of their friends, family and neighbours.

I don't think anyone here is saying that the Chinese equal communism. What we're saying, is that the Chinese lack empathy towards strangers and an internal moral system. Instead, they are guided by external morals, which can change depending on the situation. Also, the Chinese have been governed by despots for the entirety of their history. Each emperor was a Despot, although expected to rule for the people, his will guided by the Mandate of Heaven.

I did not mean to insinuate refutation to any body in particular, but to the communists in general. Communists always lecture that they represent chinese history and its culture in totality. It is only true that they represent our whole history and people of despotism, which is only a significant part of China, the rest is also a significant part of our history and people. Some emperors probably were quite benevolent like emperors of Tang dynasty, Song dynasty and Nanbei dynasties, and the rest was largely talentless, and thus cruel. Most importantly, the fruition of chinese civilization was mostly destroyed, not inherited. People might think the porcelain and jade artefacts are our heritage, no, the most important are the books and paintings, 90% of ancient chinese books and art paintings are destroyed by some talentless emperors. This is the foundation of their injustice to call themself representatives of China. This is a forgotten cultural holocaust had been going intermittently on for about 2000 years, starting from Qinshihuang.

Is it only an urban thing? I really doubt that countryside people are like these urban shits. Newest Generations are the worst thing to the humanity - full materialists, only care about social medias, buy anything that offer pleasure. Nor even China is safe.

Just look at every urban are around the world. Tokyo, New York, London, Paris. They are all the same shit. "Modernization" (as if it were synonimus of any advance...) make people that dumb. I thought chinese were more conservatives than western societies.

Chinese aren't any more conservative than we are. I think that their culture is actually a completely amoral one because that's what the commie party made sure of: after all - if you can change perceptions of "right" and "wrong" at a whim, you can get away with whatever crime you had planned out.

They are like a rude mob full of individuals that do not care for others or are heedful of them. Elbowing one's way through the queue is the smallest of issues.

No wonder why Japanese stop travelling to places that are getting overriden by Chinese tourists.

I think this applies to pretty much all of East Asia to a lesser degree.
