Difference between Europeans regarding skin colour is ultra-maxi-super overrated.
This being said, British are the lightest.

I think you guys need to see these people in hot sunny places not in Europe. Some parts of Europe get less sunlight than Mars(not joking). Scandinavians are definitely not the lightest put them in a hot sunny place for a summer and you will notice this.
Brits are definitely the lightest skin wise. However, even among them there are exceptions.

New research points to the cereal rich diet of Europeans causing their skin to lighten. They needed their skin to lighten to be able to absorb vitamin D which was lacking within their diet. This is also probably why most Europeans are not lactose intolerant and started to develop a lot of cheese making because their diets.
Lactose intolerant people tend to have vitamin d deficiencies.
