In Ancient Times Greeks spoke a lot of languages and dialects, Albanian is amalgamation of many but they are not Western Balkan Illyrian people, they are more related to Greeks.

I'm no linguist, but I'm curious: what is the academic consensus regarding the comparison between the Greek and the Albanian, language spectra?

If I'm understanding this right then the two languages must have originated separately and then converged a little through history. Notice how in the second graphic, albanian-romanian-greek-bulgarian end up being placed close .
