Parenting is supposed to prevent your kid in becoming a retard and guide them through life. Socializing with different kinds of people is miles better than growing up becoming an autist who had no human interaction until he/she became an adult.

That's a risk you take having kids. They all go through phases.

    Neither of the options.

    Depends on the parents.

There should be a yearly monitoring for homeschooled kids.

I support the right of parents to raise their kids without having government involved, yet there must be some sort of annual control.

I understand the arguments for and against home schooling but my position is simply that the option should be there. I also support "school choice" and charter schools.

I went to both private and public school. The private school education I received was far superior, that is just my opinion. I should say the public school system I attended was pretty bad. Not every school district has the same problems. It may be better, or worse, depending on various factors.

I generally don't like "public" anything, with few exceptions.

I went to a Catholic private school as a child but I did independent study/homeschool for the last 2 years of high school, it was great but I don't think homeschooling from a young age is a good idea.

Forget about the socialisation aspect for a moment and focus on the education itself.

It takes extreme dedication and requires a certain level of knowledge, intelligence and skill on the parent/s' part.

With parents as dumb as rocks, the kids will just join them in the quarry. How can you teach something you don't know yourself? How could anyone, for example, teach a kid high school maths if they haven't done it, or understand it, themselves? How can you teach and foster an interest in the world if you aren't interested in it yourself?

The parent/s also need to be dedicated and strict enough to get the work that needs doing done. Not just send the kids off to the movies because mommy doesn't feel like it today. Chances are if mommy doesn't feel like it today, she probably won't feel like it tomorrow either. You can see where I'm going with this...

I think homeschooling parents still can meet and have their kids socialize with eachother.

I was public schooled and didint end up being a liberal cuck, so its stupid to think the public school indoctrination is always successful.

Neverless as I said, I am highly suspicious of Government and the ideology they push these days, when I was in school I never learned about homosexuality and non-nuclear families, I am not sure what the impact of those teachings will be, certainly I wouldnt want my kids to learn about it.

I was in a public school and politics and trends had no place in the system. We did our work. Biology, languages, science. There was no indoctrination of any kind - if it was a lesson in biology, we learned about the anatomy of a plant, the process of photosynthesis, anatomy of the human body and how the liver works. There was no strange agenda coming from anywhere.

Once a year there was a nurse who came to the school to check if we had lice, could hear and see properly and then she went home.

I don't understand how this cannot be everywhere. Leave the kids. Teach them and give them the tools to deal with the 'world out there' and let them make up their minds about life themselves. They're not stupid and they sure as hell aren't little robots.

If I look at what is going on in the American school system (of course all my info is from the media and the media is never without bias) I am horrified at what they are teaching kids. They seem to be doing everything within their power NOT to give kids an education.

Parents teach their children whatever they want.

If you could teach your Kids that the Catholic Church is awesome and the other smell like poop, that is indoctrination.

If LGBT parents teach to their adopted or concepted kids that Sexuality is fluid, that is indoctrination.

If Transgender parents teach to their kids that Gender Identity is fluid and u can identify as whatever, that is indoctrination.

If Muslim parents teach to their kids how to make a bomb in the name of Allah will make them rise to Heaven with 1001 virgins, that is.... Oh well you know.

That can happen in an enviornment of Homeschooling, but that should be analyzed and investigated by Government agents or whatsoever in order to do not let your kid be delusioned and fooled by crazy parents.

I want limited Government control over a bunch of things but that doesn't mean that the State/Government should not care about you as a citizen of this country.
