Then you are basically deciding to throw out all historiography as just mere speculation. Because in this case why would you even debate and have opinions over history, if you find everything so unreliable in the first place? Historiography is in a very good place in the 21st century, as scientific rigor has become more and more the norm for reaching a consensus. Of course historiography will never become a field of exact science, but without it what would even be the point to bother studying the past?

I have had several mail exchanges with two elder Western genealogists, with whom I was sharing common ancestors in the 17th-18th century Elsass and Rhineland regions. They have already done first hand research for over many-many years, and basically I borrowed their findings, and around Late Medieval and Renaissance period, 14th-15th centuries, there were many-many descendants of nobility among them, who all are attested by multiple sites, and various independent sources, who arrived to the same conclusion. The links between my ancestors truly are real and there are also wikipedia articles to many of them, which quote multiple sources that these were legitimate sons and daughters of various fathers and mothers, that lead back all to Charles Martel, and even further. Basically saying this is all unreliable, would mean that you would question the hole official history and family trees of the Middle Ages, on which numerous highly skilled genealogists have worked for many-many decades, even hundreds of years already.
It doesn't matter how much work modern genealogists put in, if the original records are false and there's a non-paternity event, it's all for nothing.

One only has to look at the recently exumed Richard III, who turned out to be Y-Haplogroup G unlike his purported genealogical male line descendants. And that's from the late Middle Ages, after which genealogical records were pretty good compared to the 700s.
Despite the matching mitochondrial DNA, geneticist Turi King continued to pursue a link between the paternally-inherited Y-DNA and that of descendants of John of Gaunt. Four living male-line descendants of Gaunt have been located, and their results are a match to each other. The Y-DNA from the skeleton is somewhat degraded, but proved not to match any of the living male-line relatives, showing that a false-paternity event had happened somewhere in the 19 generations between Richard III and Henry Somerset, 5th Duke of Beaufort; work by Turi King and others has shown that historical rates of false paternity are around 1–2% per generation.[60]
    Spoiler!

No. I throw out most genealogy because, unlike in historical records, no proper records were kept into the 19th century.

The French call her "La Pucelle d'Orléans" (litt. the Maid of Orleans or the Virgin of Orleans) for a reason.
