You know what ? Let's do this test as if the Left never tried to destroy the whole country -- as well as themselves funny enough (we take them and the lesson they taught me out of the equation):
15 years ago, I was very appreciative of the Swedish folkhemmet. I think we both know what became of it but the basic underlying principle of the nation as a national home and national community (now long since abandoned by the Swedes) is a principle that already attracted me in those days. Family values and traditions should be kept in tact as society progresses along (that was my idea) and I considered those values to be family-based or personal. It was then that I became a libertarian (thinking that only through the state no longer shielding the current system from its own inherent ills could it be reformed to something more workable) and from there on I moved to the real Right as a response to the Left betraying whatever was left of its own core values. Knowing how they betrayed the country, the labouring class (their own voting base !), the small-holders and their own ideals - I want nothing more to do with them. Ever again. These people are traitors in every conceivable way: klasseverraders en landverraders (class traitors and traitors to the country). Did you know that Baudet's and Wilders' voting base mainly consists of people who once voted Centre-Left ?

The Left simply lost its values (they actually had a term for it: "het afschudden van de ideologische veren" -- shedding our ideological feathers) and betrayed everything it stood for. it simply became what the Dutch would describe as a machtspartij (a party simply in it for political power for its own sake) and a regentenpartij (and the word Regent is an insult in Dutch as it describes the 18th century super corrupt oligarchy that destroyed the entire Dutch Republic).
Wake up and smell the coffee.

Now you know why I hate them so much. Let's not forget that the vast bulk of those now voting Baudet or Wilders... used to be either left-wing voters or actual members of parties like SP or the PvdA. And believe me: my sentiments are far from unique. The reason why the populist right hates the Left so much... is because they, for the most part, used to be the Old Left.

I've tried to be as objective as I can be and to give a good thought on every question from the quiz and here's what I got:

I remember this being one of my favourite quotes:
"The foundation of the home is community and solidarity. The good home knows no privilege or neglect, no favorites and no stepchildren. There, no one looks down on another, no one strives to gain advantage at the expense of others, the strong do not repress and rob the weak. In the good home equality, thoughtfulness, cooperation and helpfulness prevail. Applied to the great people’s and citizens’ home this would mean the beakdown of all social and economic barriers that now divide citizens into privileged and deprived, into the rulers and the ruled, into rich and poor, the propertied and the destitute, the robbers and the robbed. Swedish society is not yet the good citizens’ home . . . If [it] is to become [so] class differences must be banished, social care must be developed, there must be an economic levelling out, the workers must be accorded a share on economic administration, democracy must be introduced and applied to social and economic life" -- Per Albin Hansson in a 1928 speech to the Swedish Riksdag.
I totally agreed with it and from my perspective too: "Dutch society is not yet the good citizen's home...", but it seems to me that all Leftwing parties in Europe have long since forgotten whatever obligations they once held towards their constituents. Enter.. the Right. It's funny how they, on a national level in the Netherlands, also proved to be deeply incapable of bringing forth any real reforms and didn't do much but copying what other people had done before them, tweaking it a bit and then putting their own name on it.

A person could be centrist, but I don't think there is truly centrist political party. Its either right or left, and that's exactly the reason they are here to keep the balance. Since most people are in the center both sides should fight for their votes, and its normal for people to change their view as the time goes. So if you except yourself from political life you are doing yourself (and to others) harm in the long run. The best way I can think of it is to stay open-minded for all arguments and when the time comes draw conclusions of your own and try to foresee events that will do you harm in the future.
