I don't think they're all necessarily evil, just mentally ill/sick.The evil ones definitely should be punished but the ones who just have weird tendencies and don't intend to harm anyone, I think a different approach is needed.

In any case I was asking moreso why, evolutionary, something like pedophilia became as common as it is. I guess one could ask the same question about homosexuality as well I suppose. Although morally these are not on par with one another.

Genes will never benefit the species at the cost of the individual. By turning people gay it means they wont reproduce, essentially killing off their line.

Well i hope he wasn't but we don't know. I don't think he is like that himself. Looks like a decent guy. I have a lot of respect for him, not a fanboy tho. But his acting in The Wolf of Wall Street and Blood Diamond is simply outstanding.
