as i'am looking for a girl,i had browse hundreds of profile ,and yes and no,some are looking like typical russian, but most of them looks more like balts but with a bit lesser scandinavian traits influence like estonians for ex,indeed ukrainian are pretty homogenous and are not really slavic "marked" like the russian are but i think is more the ethno group that i don't remember the name starting with a V like poutine who have the typical russian type, i seen two "families" the homogenous ones very closed of the western caucasian and the "slavic" brand like poutine, indeed it's the marketing and a bad idea of what people looks like who put a bad influence in the head of people,i have recategorised myself as tavastid meaning very near of balts and ukrainians than the alpinid swarthy meds than i'am definetly not,i'am pinky pale white with marine blue eyes and light chesnut hairs and with a roundy face i don't look like al capone

    i looks more like this

north/eastern people are various but if you avoid the typical russian phenotype, they are pretty homogenous in my opinion indeed even some bela/russian girls don't looks not so far of some fenno-scandians,and is the same for the belarussians, i know a modeling site for photo shooting in belarussan http://www.ikona.by/ and stunning blondes looks like this
    l
they looks very more less "russian" and more "western/balts" like these examples

pretty fucking western and definetly not eastern

    more near of the balts

is because they haven't "invaded" by genghis khan's rapists, like the russian does, sorry, russians nothing personnal but it's the truth, especially for crimean that i like very much, and i love you as a member if our great family,so this sample gave you an idea of what's belarussian looks like 70% of them pass anywhere in europe, even in the deep oural you have "westerner" traits
conclusion belarussa definetly one of the "whitest" european country

Belarus has large russian minoryty inside but from the other hand how much these are real Russians or just Russian speaking Ruthenians. Many people in Belarus have polish origin as well. Belarusians are very cute mix of Poles, Russians and Baltic people. I don't mention Ukrainians because these are just another mix of Poles, Ruthenians, Russians Magyars and Vlachs. Anyway in Poland we consider Belarusian as "our people"

Is it just me (this May sound stupid), or does there seem to be a significant amount of faux-Romanian looking Belarusians?

Yes, in general I agree they more often seem like more thoroughly Baltic-admixed Slavs. I believe they maintain a higher cut of WHG than other Slavs (as a group).

Is is just in the Southwest which is in the north of Volhynia?
West Ukrainians (more Galicians than Volhynians) have some overlap with Romanians though a common Dinaric tendency.

    Not really.
All Belarussians people i know looked very russian/east slavic, they also don't speak ''belarussian language'' but russian, they don't know their supposed ''native tongue'', in that regard they differ from ''ethnic'' ukranian that usually speak both russian and ukranian.

Maybe you do, but I don't consider them as such. Calling them a cute mix of Poles, Russians and whatever else is equally silly in my view. It is as ignorant as calling Poles a mix of let's say Germans and Russians, well I've seen someone claiming that too.
