You never mentioned it on this thread. All in all, Greek philosophy plays a main role in Christianity. Then it's no wonder that the above idea proposed has roots in Greek philosophy. I guess it's up to the former people to accept the cross as a positive object, after all it's whatever they accept according to their creed and influence.

Generally people who are protestants are northern europeans.
We are much less dramatic and much less passionate about religion compared to catholics i think, which are mostly southern europeans.

I disagree. Protestant services are very preachy and emotional.

Just attend an evangelical service.

Whereas Catholics are very meditative. If you attend a Catholic Mass it isn't as fiery as a Protestant Mass.

There is a significant difference between the "mainline" Protestant churches and "Evangelical" ones.
The first lost some members and some have become more liberal as time passes (not all).
The second is very focused on the Bible, spreading the message, and born again experience (Fundamental, charismatic).
