Awesome. Lisbon certainly tops in Brazil by far: TAP has flights with Airbus 330 and 340 to Belem, Natal, Manaus, Porto Alegre, Salvador, Fortaleza, Recife, Campinas, Brasília, Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo and even Campinas that is not a capitol city have flights to Lisbon. Tap a330/340 are like our mordern caravels crossing the Atlantic to the motherland haha. Air Europa flights to Sao Paulo, Salvador, Recife and Fortaleza(in a few months). KLM flights to Sao Paulo, Rio and Fortaleza. Air France flights to Sao Paulo, Rio and Fortaleza. Iberia, Alitalia and British Airways only to Rio and Sao Paulo. Lufthansa together with Condor flights to Sao Paulo, Rio, Recife, Fortaleza and Salvador. Sao Paulo has flights from other euro operators from small countries like Swiss. Main flights of Tam to Europe are Sao Paulo-Madrid by 777, SP-Paris by a350, Sao Paulo-London by 777, SP-Frankfurt by 777 and SP-Barcelona by a350. Azul also fly Campinas-Lisbon by a330. TAP also Flight Sao Paulo and Rio to Porto by a330.

Indeed, TAP and Air Europa are the only European airlines that fly to more Brazilian cities than US ones. I honestly don't even think any airline in Spanish-speaking Latin America flies to more Brazilian than US cities.

TAP Air Portugal will begin operating this June direct, non-stop flights from Lisbon to San Francisco, Chicago and Washington, D.C., totaling 8 destinations in North America (San Francisco, Chicago, Boston, New York-JFK, Newark, Washington, D.C., Miami and Toronto).

In Africa, the airline will start operating direct, non-stop flights from Lisbon to Conakry (Guinea) in the summer, totaling 18 destinations (Tanger, Fez, Casablanca, Marrakech, Conakry, São Vicente, Boa Vista, Sal, Praia, Dakar, Bissau, Conakry, Abidjan, Accra, Lomé, São Tomé, Luanda and Maputo).

To South America, TAP Air Portugal flies from Lisbon to Brazil and Venezuela, totaling 12 destinations (Caracas, Belém, Fortaleza, Natal, Recife, Salvador, Brasília, Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Campinas and Porto Alegre).

Many of the long-haul routes will be operated on the Airbus A330-900 (aka A330neo), some of which were already delivered by Airbus to TAP Air Portugal and are already flying (mainly serving the busy Lisbon-São Paulo route).

Still doesn't contradict what I said. Having said that, although Iberia flies to a lot more destinations in Latin America (outside Brazil) than does TAP, as well as flying to three cities in Asia (Tel Aviv, Shanghai and Tokyo), for other parts of the world TAP is better - more cities in Scandinavia, Eastern Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Yes, but regarding Africa I think Lisbon is more of a gateway than Brussels.

True, that so exotic haha and interesting. Iberia Peninsula is the only euro place where most of the intercontinental flights are more to Latin America than to North America. Tap flights to few american cities and to many south american ones, I think they also should serve Buenos Aires with a330 at least. Air Europa too. Iberia flights more to USA? I think not, if you see Radar24, I can see iberian A340-600 crossing to Buenos Aires, Lima, Santiago, Mexico city... sometimes others to Havana and Sao Paulo... but I see just one going to Miami and rarely other to JFK. Also there is a Buenos Aires-Barcelona flight operated by an A330 Level picture which I think its just a Iberia's low coast. I only saw tap going to Miami and Newark. Maybe they have more, but its very few compared to South America's flighting caravels routes. I never saw Air Europa going to USA.

The rest of Europe have more flights to USA I think. Alitalia flights to Sao Paulo, Rio, Buenos Aires and Santiago with 777, I only saw Alitalia going to New York, but Im probably wrong.
Italy has way more flights to East Asia than Iberia has, but Iberia has more flights to Latin America and Asia.

European airliners almost dont operate in Australia and NZ today. After Qantas, I only see airplanes from East Asia, Middle East and USA on Australia, some from Chile and South Africa but never from european airliners since 2000.

Iberia flies to more US than specifically BRAZILIAN cities is what I meant. Air Europa flies to New York and Miami. And Brussels even has flights to rare African countries like Rwanda and Burundi, which few other European airports do (including Lisbon).
