"French" surnames in Catalonia are not really French but Occitans and come from the Medieval Era, same than the Catalan language.

The second woman is from the very south of Spain, Granada. She looked so Spanish to me that she could not be from anywhere else. I prefer Iberian women with shorter faces and some alpinization/softness to their face over the super long headed ones with sharper features, with males this diference is irrelevant to me regarding aesthetics preference.

I mean... if genetics say there is french or german, there are ancestors. That they might be too far back is a different thing. Though if they have higher than 20% I think they should know about it.
