What dead language would you learn if you could?
This includes dead languages that are poorly attested i.e. Dacian, Thracian, Illyrian, Etruscan, Lusitanian... etc

A friend who took Latin classes once sent me a picture of a sign that was hanging in this class room. It said:
"Latijn is een taal zo dood als een pier.
Dus waarom, in vredesnaam, leren wij het hier ?"
(Latin is a language that's a dead as doornail. So why, for Pete's sake, do we still learn it here ?)

It is been a long time that i haven't see anyone speaking nor writting in this language, even though i am from a Lusophone country. So we can assume it is probably dead.

Also, i still struggle a lot with that language, even thought it is my frist and only one. So i definitely still have to learn it too.
