These birds are everywhere here in the UAE, and I keep seeing them perching outside my window which my mom gives them rice every morning for them to eat. The same goes with the rock pigeons as well:

Turkey Vulture. These birds would glide way above the hillsides near my home looking for prey. Very wide wingspan.

Not to mention that their stomach acid is so very acidic that they can literally eat anything that is infected with anthrax and..well, it kills the anthrax which is why they're such perfect scavengers, and play a very major role in the ecosystem in controlling diseases like anthrax from spreading.
