Who has more dark eyes, Finland or Ireland?

With the stats that you are presenting no. Due to the fact that less than 0.5% have pure brown eyes. How is Finland beating that? I don't see it. All regions of Finland are above 5% for pure brown eyes. No wonder, Carleton. S. Coon, there is no population which is lighter and bluer- eyed than the Irish.

A total of 6% of Irish have eyes that are "mostly brown". I think that is the same category for "brown" int he Finland study. Irish have more hazel eyes. A total of 16% of eyes that are about evenly mixed meaning at least half the iris is brown. Mixed category in the Finland study includes green eyes and very slightly mixed. Also Finns have more pure blue eye (45 vs 42%)

Also this comparison by Palsson gives much more light eyes for Danes and Norwegians than Scots or Irish:
