Turkish was already very popular cause it was enforced from 1070 - 1300 (when a lot of Turkification happened), but Anatoila
had a lot of Greek speakers in 1800 both among Muslims and Christians cause Greek was secondary language in Ottoman Empire, later those numbers diminished.

In Nationalist Turkey knowledge of Greek language was mostly hidden, it wasn't a popular thing to know Greek.

I had never heard or researched these people till some weeks ago where I was looking for translation of the song below and saw it was "archaic armenian dialect" hemshin,as I said in another thread ..it reminds me of the Greek tradition of mourning songs,does it also exist in this tribe?
