Many have light and mixed eyes (arround 50%). I wonder if it's representative but by judjing here, they don't look darker eyed than southern french.

It is the other way round - it is the Southern French who look like them.

This is why I have constantly said that the overlap between Britain and France (aside from some Northern regions) is overstated by lots of people.

Yeah. As I said elsewhere to Rossignol, types like him are considerably less commonplace than I thought, if these photos are anything to go by.

The main difference between southern France and southern Europe, is that France lack olive skin which is found sometimes in southern europeans.

They're more representative of the bulk of society than those pictures we are used to see of football players being posted as Portuguese (gypsies like Quaresma, Esgaio and whatnot).
