From what I've seen of many autistic people, they are not really geniuses as they are made out to be. They seem to be lower than average intelligence and have trouble comprehending things that others can easily.

I consider myself to have autistic traits and I would definitely say that while I have my strengths, I would never consider myself to be intelligent due to the fact that I have extreme difficulties in abilities that come naturally to others.

I consider you smart, not so much on account of the subjects you have an understanding of, but rather, on account of how you understand, generally, and because of how effectively (according to me) you are able to communicate your understandings.
