FTDNA Y-67 or YSEQ Superclade Orientation Panel?

I can tell you a little about YSEQ as I submitted my sample back in December - the process is slow. Took a month for my sample to get to their lab in Germany. It's been processing now since January and every so often they send me an email updating my subclade but as of today they still haven't found my terminal subclade yet. I can't understand why it takes so long. So, it's a slow process whether it is YSEQ or FTDNA I think.

Sorry to hear that. You're the first person I have seen complaining about the process being slow regarding YSEQ to be honest, most people got their results pretty quickly (when in comparison with other companies).

They provide you with your results on your profile. If you want the BAM file I think you can mail them and ask for it. I haven't done so yet but I can do it to see if they send me anything if you want.

I honestly never really considered it since I'm already on the Serbian DNA project. I might reconsider as I've got curious

So you have been tested under FTDNA and YSEQ? Prices aside, which one gave you the most positive experience and results overall?

Full genome sequencing is too expensive. The advantage with FTDNA is that you can "climb up the ladder" and upgrade whenever you want.
