I'm actually considering it. I did 23andme some time ago and i'm on V2. On 23andme my Y-DNA appears without any specific clade (i'm just R1b-P312), which should come after R1b-P312:

The thing is, i know of people on V2 that have seen their R1b clades appear after the various updates 23andme has done. But mine never has, so it could be a waste of money and the results could come back the same.

"Congratulations sir, you are R-P312! We thank you for your money."

I would expect R1b-DF27 as it's shown on this R1b tree:

I ordered from YSEQ and I contacted Thomas (CEO) directly. I explained my situation, which Y-DNA I was attributed and what I knew so far (which wasn't much). He advised me and guided me through what I should get so I placed an order. It is significantly cheaper than FTDNA but in the end it all depends on what your goal is: if you desire to climb further down the Haplotree to receive a more recent subclade or if you desire to find matches with whom you can communicate.

Btw, I thought you were R1b-DF27? That's what Morley predicted you? P312 for all that we know, you can even be L21 like myself

No and who is Morley? I doubt i'll be L21, if i was 23andme would have picked it up already. My expectations for DF27 is because when i did 23andme around 2010 or 2011 they didn't test for DF27 at the time. Only people on later chips could come up DF27. I think later 23andme corrected it, but i'm still not sure.

Morley is a website where you can upload your raw data for free and it will predict your Y-DNA. Most of times accurately. Honestly if you got P312 you can be anything under the haplotree as you posted previously, you will only be sure when you test it.
