Who do you prefer, Poles or Russians ?

I chose Poles but I do like both. The reason I picked Poles is quite complicated but the gist of it is that I feel closer to them and sympathize with them more, politically. They also seem to be (from my observations) more positive towards Serbs than Russians in comparison.

I feel kinda similar, to me Russian culture is closer because I simply know lot more about it compared to Polish. Like films, literature music and such stuff.
Also so far I experienced more positive attitude towards Croats from Russians while with Poles it wasn't so positive.

I love Russian music, cinema and literature but I still think Poles are closer to us in mentality and culture, thus me feeling closer to them (although I should stress that the difference is not that big).

Concerning EE in general, make your conclusions.

They (as a collective) don't support any side among Slavs out of love but for which side they hate the least (and can profit from the most) and the sooner everyone realises this, the better.

For me: it's simple - we should go back to 1991. Kick the whole of Eastern Europe out of the EU and NATO and just add countries like Austria, Sweden and Finland and Baltic States like Estonia and Latvia. The few Slavic states that we can work with are already West-oriented (Croatia and Slovenia). Other countries to be, potentially, invited should be Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Norway (NATO), Iceland, San Marino, Monaco and Andorra. The rest should be ignored. And since it is the West Europeans that have given the Easterners money to develop themselves - that money should be seen as a zero interest loan to be repaid and our industrial base should be shipped back West by slapping those who stay in Poland or go elsewhere with brutal import duties (in other words: the Trump Model).

As for oil and gas imports: I think we should buy American and Canadian oil and liquefied gas instead. Plus we have some oil and gas in the North Sea (Norway, UK, Denmark - and some in German and Dutch waters - plus some more gas in the Netherlands itself).

Because of some irrational Russophobia, unfortunately.

And this is fueled by Western Anti-Russian propaganda.

In some cases yes, in some cases not. But sure we all live in some personal bubbles to a smaller or larger extent. Russophobia is not irrational though, that plague of communism has reached us from Russia after all even if most of the original communists were Jews.

How we are brought up is important too, my father sometimes remarks that Russia is a bandit state in which you can have everything seized off all of a sudden and have your reputation tarnished, or your family persecuted. He told me that it would be the last European country he'd voluntarily choose to live in as well.

I have no issue with those who have a different stance towards this issue. I definitely wouldn't look down on Russians in my own life.
