1 - What the best ottoman sultan according to you?

2 - Why doesn't Istambul is the capital? I mean it is the largest city there. Is Ancara so advanced and good?

1- Yavuz Sultan Selim is my favourite but Fatih Sultan Mehmet was the smartest indeed.
2- Ankara is in the centre of Turkey. It became our capital because of geographical issues.
3- Yes. I have some Turanist friends from Tatarstan, Kazakhstan and East Turkestan. Rightist Turkic people desire Turan so bad but unfortunately our potencies have different political views. Nazarbayev was my favourite leader, also he was the last hope of Turan Union for me but we lost it (Tajiks are not Turkic btw).

2. Not sure but as far as I know, Istanbul was under the occupation of axis forces just before Republic of Turkey was being established. A capital needed to be chosen at first and Ankara was chosen. The specialty of Ankara is its being in the center and Ankara was not so developed before its being the capital.
3. There is a feeling of brotherhood towards Kazakhs in general but not sure about Tajiks to be honest.

Only now I understood. It makes sense. Principal cities in costal areas are more vulnerable to atacks. About your third answer, it confuses me a lot. According to what I have read here on TA, some turks support EU, some turks support Erdogan and you still have some turks supporting this turan thing (I don't know nothing about it). Your country (about politics and ideais) seems to be very divided and plural.

-Why Istanbul should be capital? Ankara is center of country.

Why don't Turks like to try different food? I know Turks are super nationalist and of course that includes their food, but imo they take it to a whole new level. I know someone who traveled to Italy and he was the only non-Turkish person in the tour bus. He told me that they would complain everytime about the food (who doesn't like Italian food?!) and they all ate only bread during the whole trip.

I also heard that it's EXTREMELY difficult for foreign restaurants to succeed in Turkey because Turkish people simply don't give them a try.
