I think they are closer to Czechs in terms of language and feeling close to them , but they are I think different to czechs also, in some ways culturally they can have some closeness to Hungarians ...I agree with what another user said ...slovaks most likely between Czechs and Hungarians.

closest in what way? Not disagreeing with you, I'm just curious. In Hungary all of our neighbors are considered equally distant/foreign in my experience.
