I support Catalonia Independance

Why should catalonians have to finance poorer regions of Spain? Catalonians see themselves as distinct people so how is the situation different than with Slovenia in Yugoslavia or Estonia in the Soviet Union? (Ok except maybe for communism). But IMO Catalonians have a right to self determination. Especially if they are more productive than Castilians.

This is false. Catalonia does not finance the poor regions of Spain, but just the other way around; Catalonia is rich at the expense of poor Spain. Many people outside of Spain do not know, but various Spanish governments have endowed Catalonia with great benefits and perks to try to win the favor of the nationalists, and all this has been done at the expense of Spain's interior. Many large factories, companies, etc. they have left regions such as Castilla, Asturias, León, Extremadura, Aragón or Andalusia to settle in Catalonia, the Basque Country, Madrid and Valencia, which has left those regions without work and has forced its population to emigrate there. Below I attach the contribution of the current Spanish regions to the state GDP, where you can see that Asturias, Aragón and Madrid contribute a higher percentage of GDP than Catalonia.

And yet, as you can see in the following link, Catalonia will be the region that receives more money this year in the General State Budget, while Madrid, which contributes more per cent, will be one of the three regions that receive less money.

But IMO Catalonians have a right to self determination. Especially if they are more productive than Castilians.

Catalonia is more productive than Castile because, except Madrid and nearby, Castilla is almost totally depopulated for the reason I explained before. Castilians we are workers and productive as the most, our problem is that except Madrid we are an eminently rural territory that does not stop looting us.

The ethnic Catalans are mostly in favor of independence. But 50% of inhabitants in modern Catalonia are Castilian, Andalusian etc. immigrants or descendant of immigrants who are againt it, in fact they are even against the Catalan language.

In rural areas ethnic Catalonians mostly support the unity of Spain.

I remember the very shocking news videos showing Spanish police dragging Catalans by their hair out of voting booths.

I've never seen the underclass of Britain (chavs and drunkards) even behave as badly as this... attacking voters, kicking and punching them, and dragging people by their hair... just for going to democratically vote for their independence.

In 2014 there was an independence referendum held in Scotland, and Scottish people democratically voted in their 2014 independence referendum. The voters weren't punched or kicked or dragged by their hair out of voting booths, and their referendum was civilised and peaceful. In 2016, another peaceful referendum was held in the UK on independence from the EU.

I don't think people who live in third world countries get treated as barbarically as that if they go to vote in referendums.

People should be allowed to democratically vote in referendums without being savagely attacked.

The Spanish behave disgracefully towards the Basques and Catalans.
