Thanks for providing an opportunity for me to promote my imperialist agenda, libre. For starters, I'd be keen to see someone argue that people in Calgary and Edmonton have more in common culturally with Bradford than they do Montana, Idaho, or the Dakotas.

I've always heard it's sort of halfway in between. These days, it's probably more towards the American side, as England has degenerated, and Canada has operated independent of the mother country for quite some time now.

It might be in between assessing some areas further east in Canada and with the older Brits, but polls show younger Brits see themselves more as Europeans with their future facing east rather than west. Canada Day occurred right after the civil war. Other than scattered family connections the average Englishman probably thinks of Canadians as American-lite.

I can tell due to accent but I'm on the Mexican border and even here we get a lot of Canadians moving south for the winter. On the Canadian border, particularly North Dakota, Americans themselves sound like Canadians oftentimes.

That's about the only socialist aspect it has left. Otherwise, it has low taxes (especially in regards to business & corporate taxes), low regulation (particularly including banking & finance sector), in most cases being more capitalist than America.

    France.
    5 Stages of Grief:

Denial: The initial stage: "It can't be happening." Maniot is on top of me.
Anger: "Why ME? It's not fair?!" (either referring to God, oneself, or Maniot perceived, rightly or wrongly, as "responsible")
Bargaining: "Just let me stay to post another day Maniot, please."
Depression: "I'm so sad, why are you picking on me Maniot?"
Acceptance: "It's going to be OK." There is always Skadi.
