    This is because English speakers are unable to pronounce vowels in the correct way, those are Latin terms, not English!

    The correct pronunciation of Uranus (using English phonetics) is something like : ooranoos (The U are not nasal; the R must be pronounced clear and sharp, not omitted; and the A is like in "father")
