What is Ladogan? Which ethnics or regions/nationalities does it exist the most?

Probably most common in Russia around the Ural mountains, sometimes found in Eastern Europe, Finland and Western Siberia. I think it's similar to Lappid, Ladogan is a European phenotype in my opinion.

Physical Traits:
Pale to fair skin, usually straight, sometimes wavy, blonde to dark brown hair, light eyes. Tall, meso- macroskelic, endomorph to mesomorph. Meso- subbrachycephalic, mildly hypsicranic. Leptorrhine, often round-tipped nose. Relatively low, wide face with a great interorbital distance and a wide, heavy mandible.

To me it seemed Coon implied Ladogan type would today be most commonly found in Western Siberia. But well whatever

That woman has blond hair, light eyes plus she has large head and she's 1,75 cm tall. Her facial features are closest to those women and ancient Ladogan racial type than to modern native population of Western Siberia. Nowadays native population of Western Siberia is closer to the last example.

But according to Coon this example is mixed.

Sometimes you still can find among Khantis ancient Ladogan racial type. The boy in the back is a good example.

Fifteen crania from the Neolithic of the shores of Lake Ladoga are almost equally divided into two types; a normal South Russian dolichocephal, presumably of the extreme long-headed type, with narrow face and nose; and a mesocephal which does indeed have a Finnish appearance in the modern sense. Skulls of the latter type are characterized by low orbits, short, broad noses, and wide faces, which as individual examples exceed the accompanying brain case in width. The face and head form bears a certain Cro-Magnon-like implication, and may indeed indicate descent from some eastern Upper Palaeolithic form as yet undiscovered.

Russia! Many Finnic-speaking Russians are of the Ladogan phenotype! Those of the Ural region such as the Khanti, Mansi, Chuvash, etc... in particular.

I think the consensus is that they are mostly Mongoloid. From an Apricity page. They have some CM tendencies but are more Mesolithic than Paleothic. Only the women carry much European Paleolithic traits. But even then they are so fare reduced and their skull shape is abnormal.

A Magyar from Budapest; a man of moderately tall stature, hyperbrachycephaly, and moderately great head size; with a large face, low orbits, a wide, interorbital distance, and a median eyefold. These characters, in combination with laterally prominent malars and a wide, heavy mandible, mark this individual as a Ladogan prototype. He represents a reëmergence of a racial element living in the eastern European woodlands in early post-glacial times; this type is one of the general group of Palaeolithic survivors, in this case largely unreduced. As with the related Palaeolithic survivors of northwestern Europe, its tendency to blondism must be considered integral, and not the result of Nordic admixture. Like the Lapp this type is incipiently mongoloid, but it differs profoundly from the Lapp in pigmentation, general size, and in the size and structure of the mandible. This individual appears to recapitulate in many respects the original Ladogan strain found among the Ugrian-speaking ancestors of the Magyars who invaded Hungary from their home in the Volga country. While typical of a true Magyar element in his country, he is not typical of the population of Hungary as a whole."


They are a mix of Mongloids that have been Paleoized and Paleos that have been Mongloided and later re-Mongoized by the Tartars and Turks. Basically they are heavy Eurasian Heinz 57.
