With one of the lowest birth rates in the world, South Korea is in danger of disappearing by the end of the millennium. If the situation stays as it is, South Koreans are predicted to become extinct by 2750. Because of the rapidly aging population, elderly prostitutes known as "Bacchus ladies" have cornered a number of public parks as their working areas. Meanwhile, South Korean kids are living with their families well into their 20sas a result, an entire economy of sex motels has sprung up to give kids a place to fool around outside the watchful eyes of their parents. We sent Matt Shea to investigate this generational crisis, which led him to Seoul's red-light district, a pre-wedding photo shoot on the set of a Korean soap opera, and an erotic sculpture park on South Korea's "honeymoon island."

South Korea has the highest suicide rate in the developed world. In Suicide Watch we follow Hyung-Geun Suh who is the Captain of the Yeoudio Water Rescue Unit. His unit is responsible for rescuing people who are attempting suicide by jumping into the Han River. His team faces the stark reality of life and death on a daily bases as they jump into the cold waters of the Han river. Sometimes to rescue a person, sometimes to recover a body.

I don't know. It could be anyone of us given that we're all buggered.

I have an idea on why this video was banned in South Korea - it would lead to even higher suicide rates.

Knowing the way East Asians tick (a bit), there is probably a darker reason: the government would like to keep its dirty laundry in and would hate to be shamed before the world that this is happening in their country. Most non-Western societies (and those in East Asia in particular) are so-called shame cultures where admission of guilt means guilt.
