“The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.”
- H.P. Lovecraft

#1: Hard to say; Canada would be fairly high on the list I think.
#2: In my view, he is narrowly favored to win. So let's say he has a 60-65% chance of winning assuming nothing changes.
#3: Assyrians are largely unknown in the U.S. To the extent that people know of them, I think views are neutral to positive.

Is America one country , or is there enough diversity between states and regions so that people from very diverse states may find it difficult to relate to each other as Americans ?
I have been in the USA 8 times but all were in Cali/L.A except 1 sidetrip to Nevada/Los Vegas, so I mainly have mostly had the Californian experience of America ... which is probably the most internationally promoted via media/Hollywood.

From comparing wages in the US and EU, it seems Americans make shitloads of money.
Is this a true assessment? Does the same job pay much more in the US or are there costs that I have missed? I guess as long as you don't need medical care you're all good in the US in terms of disposal income?

There is a lot of truth to it, and in general, Americans have a better quality of life, in terms of tangible goodies, compared to just about anywhere in Europe IMO. If you are upper middle class, you can afford large pickup truck, large-ish house in many areas, etc. Big expenses here are healthcare and education, but if you can afford it, you can buy insurance plans that make most healthcare costs semi-reasonable. Depends on the specific nature of the issue. If you have chronic conditions, it can be quite expensive.
