Australia was the only country in the world to declare war on an animal and they also lost it,
My question is, what was the context of that and why did they do it?

i like australia because of its peculiar nature(flora and fauna) and landscapes.. is it true that local earthworms are longer than at least five meters? have you people ever come across them irl? which specie is largest or longest?

Winters are beautiful and sunny, not too cold, not too hot. Very comfortable.
Summers on the Northern Coast are hot and humid, but up in the mountains the temperatures drop and by the beach the sea breezes keep you cool. Plus, one does become accustomed to the heat.
Up in the Top End like Darwin, the build up to the wet season - the heat and the extreme humidity is uncomfortable and known for making people "go troppo" - referring to people going mental in the tropics. But maybe that is just Darwin in general, a bit crazy and part of the charm of the place.

Is the wildlife really that dangerous or is it an exageration? Going by documentaries i've seen, there's lots of poisonous snakes, spiders, jelly fish, etc, not to mention sharks and crocs. Also do the smaller species exist in cities?

I think it is mainly the thought of the snakes and spiders that cause the fear, when in reality the more snakes and spiders etc. one sees or comes across, the more ‘comfortable’ one becomes having them around.
But of course, people visiting wilderness areas need to be educated about the dangers.
