The overweight men not only saw a dramatic decrease in weight, but also a 17% boost in testosterone.

The men whose starting weight was already at healthy levels did not see a difference.

In another, more long-term study, men 40-70 who participated in an exercise program saw no significant increase in testosterone levels, but there was also no decrease in levels.

However, too much cardio is said to have an opposite effect.

Rigorous and frequent cardio workouts can produce more cortisol.

This is the hormone that is released when we get stressed.

We all need cortisol which put our body in fight or flight mode, but prolonged high cortisol levels can do our body more harm.

This may result in being unable to sleep or feeling fatigued even after sleeping. It can also suppress your immune system, give you a dodgy gut, and make you feel anxious.

This is why many men who are in high-intensity training are susceptible to more colds. It also will lower testosterone levels!

This applies to both overweight men and those at a healthier weight.

This only applies to ultra endurance athletes, it actually says that running increased their testosterone in normal individuals and in some they saw no difference.

The cortisol part is also nonsense. Boxing also increases it. People take these things too serious, as if a drop or increase that occurs from natural excercises that are good for you are gonna have an adverse effect.

I don't know about you but I'd rather choose good endurance, speed and health than having higher test levels or lower cortisol on some paper. Reminds me of those people that take vitamin pills and think they are healthy.

False. Just using this as an excuse not to run.

That why you push weight at the beginning of workout to rise anger testerone etc then burnout with cardio.

Also running same as weights in this regard, if you have shit form running or weights your going only stress your joints and not build muscle. Cardio same as weights believe or not. But you need balance of both to be best health. Another thing average Joes at fitness center don't stretch after workout. They will rather shake a toxic powder smoothie that has no chemical affinties with human body, than do cardio or stretch..
