    Fortunately I am a very positive person and when these feelings arise it is usually only for an hour or two. I just wait for it to pass.

    I work night shift and I've found that if I go on lunch at 3am I can have some dark and unpleasant feelings. I always go sit outside in a particular spot during lunch and I've narrowed these feelings down to this spot and the time. If I go sit there at 1am, no problem. If I go between 3am - 5am it is horrible and I think of all sorts of thoughts which drag me down.

    To combat this, I have two strategies. Take the 12am - 2am lunch break. Or if I am on the late lunch, I'll sit inside.

    I think what I'm trying to say is that you should narrow down the times when you are feeling like this, if there is a pattern. If you do find a pattern, break it.
