Russia has two options.

1) European Russia without Asian parts, but Russia in small size. Castrated version.
2) European Russia with Asian parts, but without European union.

I would prefer the second option.

Rivalty between european is outdated and it's an anachronism. Internals separatisms are absurds. We need strong nations for strong Europe.

I disagree, Pan-Europeanism is just another step to total globalism. In a country you contribute your taxes, knowledge,infrastructure to your kids and countrymen.

Tell me why would I want a cent of my taxes go to Eastern Europe?

You can't cut off the Asian part of Russia. You're forgetting that there is a strong connection between Russia and China... you are politically closer to them than to the rest of Europe... it is sci-fi to believe that Russia will stop following only own interests and starts to be a common member of the European community.

Neither are we closer to China or to anyone else. We do not have friends, our friends are only our citizens. The rest are just traders, nothing special.
