both sound cool, even though I wouldn't associate Waltz with Germany or Austria in particular, this type of music is common in most of Europe.

It depends on place and mood. In a Luxury restaurant I would prefer a Waltz, in a tavern or BBQ event, Flamenco would be better

    What about you?

Flamenco for me. Not that I do not like Waltz but I am not as familiar with it or know that much about it.

Explaining why do I like Flamenco? Two words: Paco Lucía.

I like both, but Flamenco sounds more familiar.

I prefer Waltz, but seriously, Johann Strauss son and father are underrated geniuses :

They are never quoted like Bach, Mozart, Verdi, Beethoven, Vivaldi an so on...

"Allobroges vaillants ! Dans vos vertes campagnes,
    Accordez-moi toujours asile et sűreté,
Car j'aime ŕ respirer l'air pur de vos montagnes,
Je suis la Liberté ! la Liberté !"

It really depends on the Flamenco or the Waltz. Both are relatively recent European musical traditions. It depends on the mood. I guess sometimes I'm in a quiet mood. What I don't like is yelling and screaming Flamenco. There are various types. lol If you're just jumping up and down and slapping and whatnot, I say no..

I guess what I prefer with Flamenco is classy stuff, like the video above, as opposed to the gypsy stuff (a lot of Gypsies do Flamenco).

    MY EEEEAAAARRSSSSS lol

With Waltzes, some are very elegant and nice, but others are very boring. It depends. There is nothing more romantic than the Second Waltz by Dmitri Shostakovich, though. Watching videos of waltzes with this song is my guilty pleasure.

Why, yes, Sean Bean, I'll take this dance. lol.

    I know I'm a silly woman.

That is not real flamenco and Paco de Lucia was not a hard-flamenco musician. His roots were in flamenco but he played many other different types of music.

Real flamenco is extremely disgusting and just in the half south of Spain has like a 10-20% of followers. Here in the half north I don´t think flamenco is liked by more than 1% of the population.I personally hate it. Just search for "Camarón" Singer of flamenco to see how disgusting is.
