    Default The Finns.

    ETHNICITY AND LANGUAGE:
Finns are Uralic People (Uralic Group, who came to Europe from Central Russia). Finnish is the Uralic Language. The closest relatives of Finns are Estonians. In fact, Estonians are also Finns (who didn't go so far to North)
Furthermore, Finns, Estonians and Hungarians are ONLY non-indoeuropean (non-aryan) nations, who have them countries in Europe (except Turks and people from Cyprus and Malta).

In history, Finns were influencing, mainly, by four groups of people:
    1. Germanic People- from Sweden
    2. Slavic People- from Russia
    3. Lapps- relatives of Finns
    4. Balts- from Lithuania and Latvia (Before Finns turned up in present Finland, they lived, some time, in area of Balts- Latvians and Lithuanians, so today there are some Lithuanian words in Finnish Language)

    THE RACE:

Race, in anthropological and anthropometric point of view, is a group of traits (features) of appearance. There are about 60 traits of face, scull and body build who are determining the race. The most important are traits of face and scull. There are special charts with dimensions and descriptions with patterns for comparison traits of examined person.

Finns are typical mix of racial types. Finns from the cost of Finland are, generally, mix with Nordic predominance. Finns from North-East are mix with Uralic and Mongoloid predominance. Finns from Central Finland are racially mix of Nordic, Uralic and Mongoloid traits.

There are many ways of classification and using names of racial types.

There are well-known anthropological maps of famous anthropologists.

    1. According to this map, by famous American anthropologist Madison Grant, Finns are Alpine race (very wide classification) with admixture of Nordic Race. We can notice that Estonians, Latvians and even Lithuanians are much more racially Nordic than Finns. Of course, the most racially Nordic are Scandinavians:

Maps are made before WW2, so, you must use for comparison, map with borders before change of borders in Europe:

    2. This is another anthropological map, from Germany. Finns are Baltic Race with Mongoloid and Nordic admixtures. Same, Finns are much less Nordic than Estonians, Latvians and Lithuanians:

There are random pictures of Finns, from many parts of Finland:
