    I don't accept a single national accent.

    Depends whereabouts in each country.

For Ireland west is best, Cork accent, all sing songy, is wonderful, Dublin accent not so.

Welsh accent Cardiff and North Wales is utterly horrendous, Swansea or valleys accent sing songy again and nice on the ears.

Scottish accent Glasgow is too hard work, but borders or Aberdeen accent is softer and very nice on the ears.

    Overall I would say Scottish

For the ears of a person who does not have English as their mother lenguage it is very difficult almost impossible to distinguish accent.

Some areas in the borders like Hawick and areas around Aberdeen like Peterhead can have stronger accents than Glasgow. Dialects really.
