It actually looks more like British battledress during WWII and Korea. The Brits and the Canadians both used it. Various Western European armies also used it during WWII (since they were integrated in the British Army) and its immediate aftermath: Belgium/Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Czechoslovakia. I believe that various French units used it as well. Australia and New Zealand also used it and so did the other British colonies when units were deployed in Europe. And, yes, there were some Germans who wore British uniforms as well as they had volunteered to enlist in the British Army.
