Šopi are soft people by nature, they learned by thousands of years how to survive. They don't have a problem that someone call them Serbs or Bulgarians (there is Romanians and Greeks among them as well) depending who is current ruler. They did not had a problem to be Romeji (Byzantines) over 1000 years.

Warning: this guy has identity crisis for some reason, he tend to claim Thracian and Vlach genetic origin of Šopi. He is similar as Bosniensis.
Don't be like a Turks who believe that everyone is Turkic in Turkey.

It is more than obvious that at least 50% South Slavs are Natives, just look at these cultural similarities I posted:

Why is it taboo to talk about non-Slavic ancestry of Balkan people is beyond me.

Yes but mostly by female lines except if I2-din already were more southern-shifted in autosomal.

    Go figure.

I2 and J2 originate from Anatolia

R1a and R1b originate from Euroasia.

It is impossible that I2a1b wasn't southern oriented.

I2a1a (Sardinian) is basically Western Anatolian that expended west and is technically THE MOST SOUTHERN.

also check this Pre-Slavic Byzantine Soldier from 605 A.D. (Pre Slavic) who died North of Slovenia (Eastern Alps)

    1. Kosovan (7.844)
    2. Bulgarian (11.16)
    3. Romanian (12.12)
    4. Tuscan (12.38)
    5. Bosnian (12.81)
    6. North_Italian (12.87)
    7. Greek (13.91)
    8. Greek_Thessaly (14.64)

They are basically 100% Native Balkan -20% Slavic influence.

Nobody in Niš speak like that in the last few decades. Today only some older people in villages around Pirot still speak like that.

^ sad man! There are people out their wanting to change town names? Like my username, l see it, but l believe it’s best to leave it as it is, it’s history. Just like dialects, however, l guess it’s hard to keep a dialect running when most won’t properly understand lol
