In this census https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethnic...United_Kingdom Britain was 87% white, England was probably a bit less. I would say metropolitan France is 87% but among young generation much less, maybe around 80%.
Black african tend to surpass north african immigration, it's already the situation in Paris.

It will depend on the city, region or district. It is not as frequent as you may think. Most French-Maghrebis even speak French between themselves and not in Arabic.
Recent immigrants and the oldest generations will speak Arabic but most of them are in general fluent in French, like it has been mentioned before, you can hear it sometimes in public transports in Paris for example or in specific neighborhoods.

I speak French with my parents & most members of my family that live in France.

There are many French North Africans who are not even fluent in Arabic

arabic could be teached in a second cycle university cursus like russian or japanese but certainly not in college/highschool
me too i probaly known 3 or 4 words like shouf : watch, atini : give it to me, but not more than that, the maghrebi population is at max in france 20% more or less, meaning at max 5 millions ,and all don't speak arabic,i have a friend from south marroco who don't speak arabic and don't understand a single word but tachelit with his family, the funnier thing it's when a papy came to him and speak with him in arabic, "but i don't speak arabic!" he told me ,joking

Probably very easy. I already stated that ''French'' people nowadays are some kind of Arab-French-SSA creole.
absolutly not they are just concentrated in the suburbs but if you want find one in the middle of small villages good luck, yep another european full of clichés and prejugees as always

    Even with English you'd struggle.

Now that's an exaggeration as well. The EU barometer survey states that 40% of French people can speak English at least to intermediate level, which although lower than elsewhere in Northern Europe is still higher than in most of Southern and Eastern Europe.

Out of curiosity, how easy would it be to get by in Belgium with Arabic (or Turkish, for that matter)?

Are Turks or Moroccans more numerous in Belgium?

Moroccans are more numerous. But the Arabic I hear on the street are usually fresh-off-the-boat migrants and often not Moroccans. I don't hear it every day, though.

Turkish is common among Turkish diaspora. Moroccans actually also speak Darija and/or very often but among each other, but I'm sure many also understand Modern Standard Arabic. Prolly. I dunno. You can always communicate. A Tunisian can also talk to a Maltese, if both are open minded.
