none of the people in the video look that mix, most pass as Haitians, Jamaicans, African Americans, Barbadians etc
and New World blacks come in different shades, hair texture, and phenotype
I am sure you can identify as a New World black, just like the Latinos in this forum can too
for example, these are so called afro-mexicans aka New World blacks, this is why we are New World blacks and that is because we pose different phenotypes from very European to very Middle Eastern to very Indian to very Amerindian to very Mestizo to very Triracial to very Asian and everything in between
this female looks very indo-mestiza but classifies herself as an afro-mexican, and also in the census she marks herself as black
these are African Americans
Caribbeans
we are all black at the end of the day, we might not be considered black in Africa but we are black because that is our identity and we are New World Blacks, the most diverse population in the Americas
Adam Clayton Powell Jr classified himself as a black man but this man would easily pass for a Caucasian man
of course in Africa, he would be seen as a white man, but we are not Africans anymore, we are New World Blacks and such extreme phenotypes among us are not a rarity
"Adam was born with hazel eyes, fair skin and blond hair, such that he could pass for white. However, he did not play with that racial ambiguity until college. He attended Townsend Harris High School, then studied at City College of New York before starting at Colgate University in upstate as a freshman. The four other African-American students at Colgate at the time were all athletes. For a time, Powell briefly passed as white, using his appearance to escape racial strictures at college."
