Yep. I don't follow animes/mangas as much as in the past, but I'm a fan of these medias.
My favourite anime is Death Note, not a fan of those Shounen types like Naruto, Dragon Ball, etc.

I would say there’s a decent amount, but I also live in a major US city. I’m a fan, but I’m not sure if I’m considered an otaku.

Chile has a nice amount, but far from São Paulo. I do not like Otakus but had some ins and outs with them (saying that I lived in Japan is already a plus lol) like 10 years ago and I have some personal grudge against it. Most of them (in Brazil at least) are too envious and will backstab you if they can. Those who aren't like that can be the best guy you ever found, no joke.

Never heard of Otakus, but I think there is once a year event for these guys. You should see the way people look at them

Chile has more Kpopers than Brazil by a % rating. But not Otakus.
