The Doors.... and their unique ability to combine spoken poetry improvisations during live peformances inbetween singing and psychedelic blues music and orgasmic rock.

This poetry line by legendary Jim Morrsion was used during the opening intro of the movie about his life which was made after his death.

'I'll tell you this;- NO eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn.'

THIS is how you combine poetry with music. Nobody could do this better than The Lizard King. He never took singing lessons, yet his beautiful voice was absolutely perfect and always in key, and I was born too late. 0:12 This was recorded during a televised recording at 6am in Europe.

'Our music is 50% physical and 50% spiritual opening the doors of perception.' 'Each moment there's a new listener of The Doors on this planet who are listening to them as a new band for the first time and who's getting their mind blown.'

Jim was found to have the IQ of a genius. He read a lot of books at university and was highly articulate and philosophical and a deep thinker during interviews. His school teacher sister said that on Jim's 18th birthday he wasn't like normal teenagers who requested a car... but asked for the entire books of Nietzsche instead as he was an avid reader.

Jim authored poetry books, including his poetry book 'The Lords and the New Creatures.'

He fell asleep on top of rooftops under the moonlight whilst writing poetry at night, and students said he would quietly talk to demons and spirits along the beach by himself at night. He said one night, he envisioned music to his poetry... and formed a band at the request of his friend and fellow university graduate Ray Manzarek (the organ player of The Doors who had university degrees in economics and film-making and was a classical pianist.)

I don't know of any other artist with the ability to do this.... to keep surprising the audience with soft lulling combined with sudden tornado-like screams from the abyss, constant improvisations on-stage and mindblowing poetry set to a hynotic river of sound.

9:15 'Of lawful couples wound in sheets... couples smug with semen... eyes in their nipples.... Wait! There's been a slaughter here!' 'The minister's daughter's in love with the snake.'

So much passion and soul in his voice... gorgeous Jim is sweating profusely here... but gave yet another extremely hot and breathtaking performance.

He suffered from shyness in the band's early days and was very introverted and would sing with his back to the audience as told by the other band members and shown in The Doors movie. He then turned wild, yet remained sullen and introspective at other times.

Jim never sang a note out of key, was always full of surprises, could perform on-stage at 6am whilst high... or late at night whilst drunk... and could still give a breathtaking and legendary and mindblowing performance.

After graduating from university, they made 6 albums, a few films, and Jim authored several books of poetry before his tragic death at age 27. The Lizard King creatively and artistically achieved more in his short lifetime that what other artists achieve in a long lifetime.... and he set the trend with many rockers to wear leather clothing.

It's sad that The Doors were banned from being allowed to perform at Woodstock and were also banned from being allowed to perform in 16 states in the U.S. and that the FBI open a file against ultra liberal Jim, and the police frequently stopped the shows on stage to arrest Jim and removed him from the stage.

He was so rebellious and very controversial with the things he did on-stage which led to arrests... such as taking his penis out on stage and asking 50 females to go on-stage and lick him... (unlike his conservative teacher sister and Admiral U.S. naval father who led the U.S. naval forces in Vietnam)... Jim was very wild and free-spirited.

7:11 'Father? Yes son? I want to kill you. Mother... I want to.... f*ck you mama all night long.... gonna love you all night baby, yea!'

Jim's manager said one time after the bandmates agreed to sell their music 'Light My Fire' to be used in a U.S. car commercial without Jim's consent, he threw a TV out of the window and threatend to smash-up a model of the car on-stage in front of large audiences if the car company ever commercialised his poetry or used his singing in a TV commercial. He accused the band members of 'selling their souls to the devil' and became more distant from them. The car company pulled out of using their music as a result of that threat.

Another time Jim's manager said Jim was furious that people misunderstood his poetry in The End... and returned to the studio by himself late at night, removed all his clothes, and drenched and damanged the music studio with a fire extinguisher. His manager found him laying naked on the floor and muttering 'Kill the father... destroy the mother' over and over, and ordered him to go home. He was referring to each generation divorcing themselves from the previous generation.

7:49 mindblowing lyrics... they performed this at 6am in Copenhagen whilst high on acid... not many artists could do this. 'Before I fall into the big sleep... I want to hear.... the scream of the butterfly...'

The Lizard King studied a lot of books on poetry and demonology at university and all the books of Nietzsche. He used psychology tactics on his audiences to cite them into a frenzy... before turning his back on them and screaming abuse at them... then teasing the audience.... and then urging people to rebel against authority.

Jim told the audience here: 'Maybe you like getting your faces stuck in the shit... you love it, don't you?!' He was urging people to rise-up against the police and the government: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFdm...&frags=pl%2Cwn

Jim was proud of his Celtic ancestry (he was of Scottish, English and Irish descent)... so he had a witchcraft wedding with one of his numerous girlfriends.

There was 10 paternity suits filed against him from different females by the time of his death, and he paid some females to have an abortion and made some songs about those abortions.

Him and one of his Celtic Pagan girlfriend's cut their wrists and drank each others blood in a chalice during a traditional Pagan ritual at their Celtic wedding. He didn't need to get a divorce when they split-up as his wedding wasn't recognised as being legal in the U.S.

He was also known for jumping out of moving vehicles whilst high on drugs and alcohol, driving into the opposite lane of traffic and scaring the passengers in his car, and perilously sitting on the edges of very high hotel balconies. He had an obsession and fascination with the dark side of life and death.

He made a silent movie and played a hitchhicker and a serial killer in the silent movie he wrote and starred in.

He was arrested as a student when he took a trip to the desert with two male friends... and on the way home, he saw a female walking past and ran out the car to grab and kiss her. When he returned to the car, and argument broke-out between Jim and the other two guys. So Jim drove back without him. When people asked where he was, Jim said he murdered him and buried him in the desert. The man's father was a court judge and had Jim arrested and questioned. Jim admitted he was joking and his friend was found a few days later.

He also was known for having sex with his fans and was caught once backstage with his pants down and two blond females all over him. He also grabbed Janis Joplin by her hair once when she shouted at him, and he stuck her head in his crotch. He was one of the wildest men to ever live.

There's books and movies made about Jim Morrison. Lana del Ray made some songs about Jim Morrison. Axl Rose and other major rockstars have named Jim Morrison as their biggest idol. Marilyn Manson and other artists have covered songs by The Doors. Johnny Depp read an audience some of Jim's breathtaking poetry from one of Jim Morrison's books. There's also several modern-day tribute bands to The Doors who try to impersonate the Lizard King.

Jim insisted that the spirit of a dead Native American entered his body as a child and he loved doing shaman dances on stage. He made a reference in a song to witnessing the scene of a coach crash as a child. 'Indians scattered on dawn's highway bleeding... ghosts crowd the young child's fragile eggshell mind...'

Such a beautiful song... this was the last ever song that Jim sang before his death at age 27.

When Jim moved to the artistic city of Paris, he said he wanted to leave the rock n roll scene of California behind him, and focus on being a poet and writing more poetry books. Jim said in recorded interviews that him and the band members wanted to go into politics after The Doors, or film-making (Jim had a degree in film making and he wrote and made a few silent films.)

Jim Morrison's famous grave inside the prestigious Père Lachaise cemetary in Paris, which is visited by lots of tourists each year.

English supermodel Kate Moss danced on Jim's grave with her rocker bf and sang the Alabama (whiskey bar) song as her tribute to The Lizard King.... and lots of fans have left graffiti tributes all over his grave and bottles of whisky and cigars for Jim, which he loved in life.

The band musicians have set small fires on Jim's grave and they put lots of the poems and photos that people have left on his grave to go up in smoke into the atmosphere and air for Jim's wild n' free spirit. His Admiral father had an ancient Greek quote enscribed on his son's grave which relates to him living his life according to his own free will. Jim distanced himself from his conservative relatives and Admiral father. His dad said in a video interview that he didn't listen to much of Jim's songs.

'Do you know how pale and wanton, thrillful,
Comes death on a strange hour,
    Unannounced, unplanned for...
Like a scaring over-friendly guest you've brought to bed...

Death makes angels of us all -
    And gives us wings,
    Where we had shoulders,
    Smooth as raven's claws.

No more money, no more fancy dress.
This other kingdom seems by far the best...
Until it's other jaw reveals incest.
And loose obedience to a vegetable law.

    I will not go -
    Prefer a Feast of Friends
    To the Giant Family.'

His death remains a mystery (no autopsy was performed and he was given a quick burial before the other band members or his relatives were even informed of his sudden death,) and people suspect that he faked his death to escape the court trials against him in the U.S. in relation to allegedly exposing his penis and masturbating on-stage and asking his fans to go on stage and lick his arse. He was into extremes of sex, drugs, and rock n roll, and he always looked high on something.

The Lizard King was in a luxurious apartment in Paris with his long-term on-off redheaded girlfriend Pamela Courson (who Jim met at uni when she was an art student,) and he died with a reported smile on his face in the bath after drinking and taking drugs from Pamela. Jim left his $300 million fortune to Pam. Pamela then died from a heroin overdose 3 years later. Some say she faked her death to be with Jim. Their three dogs outlived them both.

0:50 Jim's grave attracts a lot of artists and poets and music fans.

[QUOTE=Impaler;5971827]I am a Elvis Presley fan. In my opinion he was the best artist and the greatest entertainer. The King!

One of my favorite Elvis tracks is not a very well known one, it's 'Mystery Train' by Junior Parker.

[QUOTE=Mens-Sarda;5971851]I think that everyone will agree about "Queen"

In my opinion he had a bad vocal tehnique. Too much screaming. The Queen's songs are immortal, but his voice wasn't the best. Just my opinion.

I don't personally like the way Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby were produced. Too cold sounding. But i give them respect for innovating with the ambient guitar sound and bringing more spiritual themes into music. It's not all about partying.
