Oh sleep...
Are my dreams to keep?
Are my thoughts asleep?
Or maybe I'm sleeping too deep...
After all, I still didn't count the sheep!
Well, It's time to fall asleep...
Before the dreaded alarm beep!

(...)I was a boy and she was a girl
in this kingdom by the sea,
but we loved each other with a love that was more than love —
me and my Annabel Lee —
with a love that the sublime angels of Paradise
envied her and me.

And that was the reason that, many years ago,
in this kingdom by the sea,
a wind left a dark cloud that night
freezing my Annabel Lee;
so her noble kindred came
and took her from me,
to silence her in a grave
in this kingdom by the sea...

They
Dark, soulless
Perishing conscience

Pray
The hopeless
Have not their vengeance

Pride in the blood of their forefathers
And that which is on their hands
Pride unfading, that which never falters
Rooted deep in these cursed lands

Love binds stronger than a chain
Every man and woman slain
Every ounce of human pain
Every blood-red lineal stain

I must not cower
...But I can't hide
I have not power
To reverse the tide

All my mortal thoughts
Harsh reality
Connecting the dots
Life's triviality

If I reach the heights of riches
I would gladly lose it all
Save my brothers from the ditches
And the terrors that befall

All my cordial naughts
Marsh modality
Rejecting my lots
Strife's principality

Exodus of reason
Age of the blind
In this cursed season
New order assigned

Guilty bystander
In them we find
This perverted slander
Wicked is mankind

Late Night Thoughts Part IX - Ancient Shores

Upon an ancient shore
My full attention lies
A land made to adore
Looked upon by bloodshot eyes

Deep in forgotten lore
The deep, ancestral ties
Whether to Greek or Moor
All who rise will meet demise

Kingdoms built on broken spines of slaves
and minds of scholars
Do not turn away from those who write the epic

Nations filled with spoken lies and graves
remind of squalor
Do not turn away from patterns, here prophetic
