Lots of non-whites (particularly blacks) with Anglo names and even surnames, loads of mixed race people in major cities too. No one views them as white, despite what their dad might have been

Nah that isn't how it works, you'll be viewed based on how you look. If you look racially ambigious or just White or just Black then you'll be judged accordingly. Since your girlfriend is half East Asian and White, do you really think of her as just being full Asian?

I agree. Why isn't it talked about as much? I have quite a rare mtDNA haplogroup and the only posts I've seen on this forum about it are the ones I made.
