Idk just China I guess. Euros didn't really have much contact with china/east asia until the silk route came into place. The modern name for China came through persians. In general all land to east of europe was called 'orient' or Asia but it more specifically referred to West asians and indians due to more contact.

I think 'Asian' today in most places refers to the mongoloid people from east/se asia because of their dominance in many fields on a global scale, high population, and similar facial features.

Oh, I see... Yeah it makes sense haha I do relate japan, china, korea, etc to asia more due to their facial traits yeah... Because IMO they look much more distinct to europeans than people from west asia...
