How do you explain this - Poland has strict abortion law and fertility rate of 1.32 while all other central Europe and Balkan countries, where abortion law is less strict, have birth rate between 1.40 and 1.50.

It's really poor reason to have a child and become parent just because you couldn't abort it.

Why you easterners got low birthrates is especially connected to a mass exodus of young people. East Germany even has a significant lower number than our west.

In Ireland the high birthrate was logically connected to the catholic influence and abortion laws.
