Driving through the suburbs of La Boyera and El Hatillo, in southeastern Caracas, at altitudes above 1,100 meters above sea level, in Miranda state.

I don't pretend to compare this to the much higher altitudes of some Colombian Andean cities, but still, the vegetation landscape on the road side, is not precisely that of a lowland tropical jungle:



There are some palm trees, of course, because is still a tropical climate, but tropical of altitude, with some pine trees as well, and very moderate temperatures with cool nights.
