I don't know about Illinois and Idaho to give an honest assessment. I think with Illinois, it may be like NY, where most of the State is English but the cities are pockets for Italian, Irish, and Polish.

Yep, pretty much. Downstate is quite Anglo, I would say. Southern Illinois (a.k.a. Little Egypt) was the first part of the state to be settled and was settled by lots of Southerners (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_Illinois). Chicago and its environs are where the immigrant stock is found.

Brazil has everyone. It's like the US of South American. XD

It would have some similarity with south of Brazil.

To understand what happened in the US, notice what happened here:

- In the south of Brazil many amerindians were killed, they were hostile, the Italian and German government did not want to send immigrants to a region that was occupied by amerindian.
- The settlers always had guns and that's where the American hooby comes from guns.
- There was always segregation for blacks. Germans are more conservative do not accept the brown amerindians (not accepted the Polish as well).

I'm not an expert so don't quote me on that but I heard there are whole German communities in Midwest still speaking German as main language and even having local councils run in German language. The same source suggested the presence of German identity is so strong in some areas shall the ethnic/racial tensions rise they could secede and form their own German-speaking country. Would be interesting to see if it's true.

Not really. Eastern England, oddly enough, has more in common with Holland than with the East. Batavo.. couldn't get more Dutch: comes from the Batavi.

Yeah that's what I heard, they are fine with US as it is. But in scenario of US civil collapse they could do well on their own and form fully independent entity.
