I am bilingual (Armenian/Russian) and know a little of English.

I am not sure if I am a different person while using different languages but when I want to express my hostility and hatred or to be rude, cruel and ruthless towards someone or something I find it much easier to use Russian language. And when I want to show my friendly feelings, warmth and good relations I find it easier to use Armenian language. As for English I use English only as translation of my thoughts from Armenian or Russian.

When having sex the most exciting love whisper for me would be from an Armenian-speaking woman, half exciting would be from a Russian-speaking one, and English-speaking women better keep silent not to make me feel almost indifferent.

English language in comparison with Serbian language .. is very primitive and limited no matter how good you are.

Ask Dick or someone from Balkans who lives in English speaking area.

I don't change when speaking English/German/Russian. I would sound different for a friend that knows how I speak in Romanian and other languages, because I would use idioms or slang with an equivalent in Romanian that I do not use. This might make the person think I present a different image when talking that language.

For example bro or mate, which I do not use in Romanian.

Language and culture are intertwined. That's explained in the movie Arrival (unsurprisingly based on a novel by a chinese american) where the main character starts to perceive time the same way the aliens do when she starts to understand their language. A friend who had to deal with spanish and english speaking clients always told me the spanish ones were perceived as nicer while the english ones as rude. I also remember this spanish guy living in Japan saying it would be way easier for a japanese to talk about their feelings or personal opinions in english than in japanese, and so on...

I would say when I speak in English, I'm more logical and analytic. In terms of both my choice of words and my outlook of the world.

i only have spoken swedish with my family but i guess im the same there too, i joke around more in swedish tho
