I've actually been struggling alot recently to gain weight because im pretty much anorexic to be honest. But my family has helped me maintain my weight by literally forcing me to eat; if they see that I haven't eaten enough calories they bring me super calorie-dense food like cake or peanut butter and pretty much literally force me to eat it. i'm not exactly sure how this will still work once I move out in a few months though.... im not sure if this would work for fat people going the other direction though

I am also like this, in that I have always been thin/underweight, and I have been to see multiple doctors and had bloodwork done and I am not anorexic or do not have any sort of eating disorder but am healthy but just genetically thin as both my parents and both sets of grandparents were this way. It does not help when people say things like how I am anorexic, way too thin, unhealthy, etc. since it's not true, and the people who say this are not doctors or medical professionals at all.

I have never weighed more than 58kg, and that was when I was in my early 20s, and I would go out alone or with friends and drink alcohol and eat takeaway food after going to pubs. I lost the weight when I stopped drinking so much, started to eat more, and did even more cardiovascular exercise which I have done daily/weekly since I was a teenager.

I have friends who are fat/obese and it's not like they do not know this, have not tried to lose weight, diet, do not exercise, etc. some of them are just genetically larger than I am, or in some cases the medication they are on made them gain a lot of weight.

Depends on the person (though it doesn't make that type of behaviour okay) - it worked for me though.

I only support shaming a fat person if they are trying to bullshit some nonsense about how being fat is "healthy" or something similar. And yes, those fat pieces of shit need to be told the truth.

Only things help which a person can gain something from. Shaming for the most part creates bad energy, but it can help someone to realise their own weaknesses.

Being fat is a result of following government dietary guidelines so we should bully the government.

Shaming usually doesn't help anybody. It's surprising that so many people still believe that all fat persons are just lazy. Some people, often those who have been bullied since childhood, may find comfort in food, so the bullying may actually have the opposite effect. And then there is genetics. I'm always been skinny all my life, when I was younger I could literally gorge myself with the most calorific food and don't gain an ounce in weight - or cholesterol in my blood. Conversely, there are people who gain weight just by looking at food. Of course there are couch-potatoes, but those ppl who get really obese generally have some disorder, either psychological or physical.

Most fat people already know they're fat. They don't need someone to tell them that. I think it's just people want to control others. So they feel out of control. If you can belittle someone it makes you feel better. Being against fat shaming doesn't mean I advocate "fat acceptance", however. They are both tail ends of the extreme.
