There was a very ancient german-saxon community in Transylvania they lived there since the medieval age, after the WW2 the romanian communists massacred, deported and expelled most of them, very sad.

Town where I have grow up was full Danube Swabian village until 1945. German colonists from Bavaria, Palatinate, Baden-Würtemberg and Hesse founded village in 1791. After WW2 Serbs from Dalmatia, Lika, Kordun and Banija arrived when Germans were removed and village became town by time.
